Who is eligible?

  • Qualified Charitable and Non-for-Profit Organizations.

Who is not eligible

  • Organizations without a Mission, BC address.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • contract or service fees of any kind, including advertising, equipment rentals, and contractor costs
  • sponsorships or in-kind grants; dues; fees; sabbaticals; student exchanges; scholarships; fellowships; annual fund drives; projects with a religious component; endowment funds; mortgage payments; deficit reduction; capital expenses; new construction; preventative maintenance; operating expenses

Eligible geographic areas

  • City of Mission, including the Mission Public School District catchment area.

Selection criteria

  • Preference will be given to organizations that demonstrate projects will address community concerns that benefit a wide audience.
  • Preference will be given to organizations that demonstrate projects are non-discriminatory.
  • Preference will be given to organizations that demonstrate projects appeal, support, and provide direct service to the community.
  • Preference will be given to organizations that demonstrate projects assist in the relief of poverty and social needs.
  • Preference will be given to projects that address current social issues, have a lasting impact, and demonstrate innovative new approaches and techniques in the solution of community problems.

Processing and Agreement

  • Once your application has been successfully submitted, you will receive an email confirmation.
  • If you do not receive this confirmation, your application has not been received.
  • Reporting is required upon completion of the project, but no later than 6 months following receiving grant funds.

  • There are two annual grant cycles: Grant Cycle 1 in Spring and Grant Cycle 2 in Fall.
  • Applications for 2026 Grant Cycle 2 will open in Fall.
