- Organizations not registered and in good standing with NWT Corporate Registries
- Applicants or organizations receiving the Large Arts Project Fund or Arts Operating Fund for the same purpose in the same fiscal year
Eligible expenses
- Artist fees, materials, and supplies
- Equipment and venue rentals, studio costs, shipping, and contracting fees
- Administration costs up to 10% of the project budget
- Training, mentorship, residencies, and workshops
- Travel for artistic development, including flights, accommodation, and ground transport
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Major tools and equipment
- Projects for competitions, awards, or contests
- Third-party online booking fees outside the NWT
- General non-artistic activities at events or festivals
- Living or operating expenses, including rent, wages, food, and utilities
- GST, HST, or PST on eligible expenses

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by an Arts Advisory Committee.
- The committee makes funding recommendations for approval.
- Applicants are notified within 60 days after the deadline.
- If approved, a grant agreement is sent within 30 days.
- Approved applicants must sign and return the agreement before payment.
Additional information
- Preference is given to applications that use NWT resources and services.
- Applicants may only apply for one project at a time.
- All overdue reporting must be completed before reapplying for arts funding.
- A signed grant agreement is required before payment.
