Eligibility
- The application must be submitted to the Service du génie et de l’environnement with all required supporting documents (completed form, original invoice, and proof of residence).
- Subsidies are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and only one grant is available per residence.
- Eligibility is limited to specific eco-friendly product or equipment purchases as outlined in the program (e.g., durable hygiene products, ecological maintenance equipment, new bicycles, ultra low-flow toilets).
Eligible expenses
- Purchase of bidets (up to 50% of cost, maximum $50 per unit, before taxes)
- Purchase of rainwater recovery barrels (up to $50 per barrel)
- Purchase of reusable or washable diapers and training pants for children (up to 50% of cost, maximum $100 per child, before taxes)
- Purchase of eco-friendly lawn care equipment, including:
- Electric (corded/battery) or manual/reel lawn mowers (up to 50% of cost, maximum $75)
- Electric (corded/battery) trimmers (up to 50% of cost, maximum $50)
- Mulching blades for mowers or lawn tractors (up to 100% of cost, maximum $25)
- Purchase of reusable hygiene products, including:
- Washable diapers (if not already claimed under the children’s program)
- Incontinence underwear
- Washable nursing pads
- Menstrual cups
- Washable absorbent underwear
- Washable sanitary pads
- Washable pantyliners
- Washable handkerchiefs
- Washable toilet paper (up to 50% of cost, maximum $100, before taxes)
- Purchase of ultra-low-flush toilets (4.8 litres or less, or dual flush) (up to $50 per unit)
- Purchase of new bicycles (classic or electric-assist) (up to 50% of cost, maximum $75 for classic, $200 for electric-assist, before taxes)
- Tree donation valued at $150 (taxes included) for new residential construction or following the birth or adoption of a child

Selection criteria
- Grants are awarded on a first come, first served basis.
- A limit of one grant per residence applies.
- For certain measures, such as the rebate for ultra-low-flow toilets, only the first applications (e.g.: first 75) are accepted.
- A maximum number of applications accepted annually for certain categories (e.g.: 15 applications for new or electric-assist bicycles).

- Subsidies are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to a limited number of grants per program.
- A limit of one subsidy per residence applies for most eco-friendly purchasing programs.
- Specific annual limits exist for certain grants, such as a maximum of 15 requests per year for new or electric-assist bicycle subsidies.
- Some measures are newly enhanced in 2025, based on recommendations from the Environmental Advisory Committee (CCE).
