Who is eligible?
- Residents of Matane.
- People with a permanent residence on the territory of the City of Matane who hold parental authority over a child aged 3 years and under for the child reusable diaper and toilet-training pants rebate.
Eligible expenses
- Bidets and rainwater recovery barrels.
- Reusable hygiene products, including child reusable diapers and toilet-training pants, incontinence underwear, washable nursing pads, menstrual cups, washable absorbent underwear, washable sanitary pads, washable panty liners, reusable tissues, and reusable toilet paper.
- Eco-friendly lawn care equipment, including electric or manual/roller mowers, electric edgers or hedge trimmers, and shredder blades for mowers or lawn tractors.
- New bicycles and new electric-assist bicycles.
- Ultra-low-flush toilets; trees or shrubs for new residential construction or a birth or adoption in 2026.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Washable diapers that have already received the specific rebate for children’s reusable diapers and toilet-training pants are not eligible under the general reusable hygiene products rebate.

- When the number of subsidies is limited, applications are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
