• Supporting worksheet or attachment, where required
• CRA charitable registration number, for charity-based applications
• Invoice or proof of enrollment, where required
• Letter of support or Lodge approval, where applicable

Who is eligible?

• Master Masons in good standing
• Immediate families and widows of eligible Masons
• Constituent Lodges and Districts under the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia
• Registered charities in Nova Scotia
• Nova Scotia graduating high school students through a Lodge

Who is not eligible

• National charities not serving a local need
• Bursaries restricted to Masonic families or relatives
• Applicants without a CRA charitable registration number, where required

Eligible expenses

• Charitable project costs and related direct support
• Educational bursary payments to approved institutions
• Assistance for basic personal, home, or medical needs
• Community project funding for eligible local initiatives

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Goods in kind for Shared Funds applications
• Donations to national charities, unless tied to a local need
• Benevolence support for professional nursing care
• Bursaries restricted to Masonic families or relatives

• Nova Scotia
• Atlantic Canada

• Applications are reviewed by the Foundation or the relevant Lodge/District committee.
• Shared Funds requests are considered by the Board after the annual deadline.
• Administrative Funds decisions are made at a board meeting.
• Approved funding is paid under the program’s payment rules.

• Applications are reviewed by the Foundation’s board at a scheduled meeting.
• Shared Funds requests may be prorated if demand exceeds available funds.
• Some programs require approved forms and strict deadlines.
