Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Active practitioners in one of the creative industries identified under The Creative Saskatchewan Act (2013)
  • Corporations or individuals
  • A Group of recording/performing musicians, A Non-Profit, or A Collective

Who is not eligible

  • A political organization or party
  • A religious organization
  • Organizations that discriminate based on culture, gender, sexual orientation, race, language, ethnic origin, economic status, religion, political, or other conscientiously held beliefs
  • Organizations advocating for political or religious beliefs
  • Service providers creating marketing materials for artists

Eligible expenses

  • Publicist or marketing professional services
  • Creation of marketing materials, branding, documentation of work for visual artists, website design, social media and advertising, distribution, and market research or intelligence activities identifying commercial opportunities
  • Travel and accommodation for promotional purposes
  • Shipping and services required to deliver the project successfully
  • In-house fees related to marketing activity at industry standard rates

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Applications to attend events or participate in activities where the primary organizer is a Creative Saskatchewan supported industry association
  • Applications for motivational speaking tools and tours
  • Travel expenses for non-Saskatchewan residents
  • Expenses during non-travel days and non-work days
  • Expenses that are already included in another Creative Saskatchewan grant

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare your application

    • Prepare the budget and, if needed, the travel itinerary
  • Step 2: Review and finalize your materials
    • Check eligibility and completeness
    • Confirm supporting documents and project details
    • Make final edits and proofread the application
  • Step 3: Submit online through GMS
    • Log in to the Grant Management System
    • Upload all required information and documents
    • Submit before the deadline
  • Step 4: Await the decision
    • Monitor email and the Grant Management System for results
    • If approved, review and sign the Letter of Commitment

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are first reviewed internally for eligibility and completeness
  • Eligible applications are then assessed through the stream-specific review process
  • Results are sent by email and posted in the Grant Management System
  • Approved applicants receive a Letter of Commitment with terms and conditions
  • A formal agreement must be signed before funding is released
