Selection criteria
- Basic eligibility and completed application.
- Alignment with MCIC guiding principles.
- Fit with the fund’s development priorities.
- For returning applicants, a history of successful completion and satisfactory reporting.
How to apply
- Step 1: Review the funding guide

- Attend an information session if required or encouraged.
- Step 2: Prepare the application
- Complete the application form.
- Prepare the required budget and supporting materials.
- Include sponsor documents if using a sponsoring organization.
- Step 3: Submit by email

- Step 4: Await confirmation and review
- MCIC confirms receipt and assigns a project number.
- The application is then reviewed for eligibility and funding consideration.
Processing and Agreement
- MCIC staff first review applications for basic eligibility and completeness.
- Applications are then reviewed by the Community Solidarity Fund Review Committee.
- The committee recommends projects to the MCIC Board of Directors for final decisions.
- Applicants may be approved, approved with conditions, or not approved.
