Who is eligible?

  • Recipients of income assistance or general assistance under The Manitoba Assistance Act
  • Applicants with private optical coverage for eyeglasses reimbursement

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Eyeglasses covered by a private insurer or other provider are not reimbursable.
  • Retroactive payments beyond the allowed one-year period are not payable.
