Eligibility

Who is eligible?

How to apply

  • Read the primer on multi-year grants.
  • Download the pre-grant worksheet.
  • Download the multi-year budget template.
  • Prepare your objectives and state whether they measure multiple years.
  • Submit your request in the Grants Portal.

Processing and Agreement

  • After submission, the foundation will contact the applicant with any questions.
  • The Grants Committee reviews the request and makes a determination.
  • If awarded, the foundation sends a Grant Agreement with the legal stipulations.
  • The foundation may discuss whether an MOU is needed if the Strategy Director determines it is necessary.
  • For subsequent years, the Strategy Director or Program Officer reviews the post-grant report and renewal request before funding is awarded.
  • The foundation issues payment within a few weeks after renewal approval.

Additional information

  • Invitations to apply are extended at the discretion of the Strategy Director or Program Officer.
  • You are asked to stay in close contact throughout the project and inform the foundation of major changes or challenges early.
  • The post-grant report is submitted two months before renewal is due and should be marked Interim unless it is the final year.
  • For the final year of funding, the final post-grant report is submitted approximately 12 months after the final award date.
