Who is eligible?

  • Community not-for-profit organizations with an arts and culture mandate
  • Professional for-profit arts organizations that are book and periodical publishers

Who is not eligible

  • Organizations with annual revenues greater than $1 million

Eligible expenses

  • Direct project costs
  • Capital and equipment purchases
  • Professional fees and honorariums
  • Travel, accommodation, and per diems for project-related travel
  • Production, publication, administration, research, and professional development costs

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Applications from organizations with annual revenues above $1 million.
  • Projects or costs not directly related to the current project.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by an internal panel of MAC staff.
  • Decisions are based on project merit, impact, and feasibility.
  • Results are notified within three months after the deadline.
  • Eligibility must be approved by MAC staff before the application is considered.

  • Offline application forms are available for applicants who are D/deaf, living with a disability, or have limited internet access.
