- Nominators with a conflict of interest with the candidate.
- Applicants who are not eligible under the required Manitoba residency and address rules.

- Translation costs for French applications, if the applicant hires their own translator.
- Accessibility-related supports and services requested by applicants who are D/deaf or living with a disability.

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by an external peer assessment panel.
- The panel determines the award recipient based on the assessment criteria.
- MAC states that the panel’s decision is final.
- Results are notified by March 31.

- Applications in French may be translated by MAC or by the applicant’s own translator, with reimbursement available for translation expenses at $0.27 per word.
- Applicants may request accessibility support or use an offline application if they are D/deaf, living with a disability, or have limited internet access.
