- Staffing costs linked to compiling the assertion
- Consultant or contractor fees for submission materials
- Genealogical and historical record collection
- Traditional land use studies and supporting sources
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Travel expenses, including accommodation, mileage, and meals
- Expenses incurred before April 1, 2018 for initial applications
- Expenses outside the eligible fiscal year for later applications
- Honoraria and other normally free services
- Training costs, legal fees, and unrelated expenses
