The Apply for Funding page now includes a Project Funds - 2024 SPRING INTAKE listing with an April 15 deadline and a new Project Funds - 2026 Fall Intake listing open from Jul 28 2026 12:00 AM (MST) to Oct 15 2026 04:30 PM (MST). The total program listings increased from 4 to 6, and the Opportunity Projects Fund page now adds guidance telling applicants to review the full Projects Fund guidelines for ineligible expenses.

Activities funded
- Recreation projects involving active living, inclusion and access for populations that face constraints to participation, supportive physical and social environments, connecting people and nature, or building recreation capacity.
- Arts projects in performing, visual and literary arts where Yukoners and Yukon communities are engaged.
- Sport projects involving amateur level sports and physical fitness activities.
Documents Needed
- Complete application form and all supporting documentation.
- Motion from the board supporting the project.
- Proof of ownership or authority to use land, building or site for the project.
- The applicant’s rental policy for all equipment purchased with the intent to rent.
- Project budget, funding recognition plan, and quotes or a breakdown of costs to substantiate budget items over $1,000; for Regular Intake applications, two quotes for budget items over $5,000, quotes or a breakdown of tasks/hours to substantiate in-kind contributions, proof of insurance may be required for high-priced equipment purchase, and an Operating, Maintenance and Disposal Plan for equipment purchases over $10,000.

Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Activities that relate to services mandated by governments.
- Project costs incurred prior to the application deadline.
- Activities associated with the sale of art, including but not limited to freely distributed or saleable book and magazine publishing.
- Hosting events where there are no Yukon participants; accommodation, food including per diems, or beverages; and costs for Yukon residents to travel outside of Yukon.
- Prizes, trophies and medals; development of or improvements to private land or private buildings/structures; fundraising activities and expenses; items intended for personal use; wages that are normally paid by the organization; operating and maintenance costs related to the core operation of an organization; and project management or coordination expenses of more than $20,000.

- Priority will be given to projects that may benefit more than one non-profit.
- For the Three-Year Plan stream, the recipient and project must be assessed as low risk.
How to apply

- Discuss the project with Lotteries Yukon before applying.
- Step 2: Prepare the application
- Complete the application form using the online portal or forms.
- Gather the required supporting documents and project budget information.
- Step 3: Submit the application
- Submit through the online portal or via the available form process.
- For a fillable PDF form, request it by email from Lotteries Yukon.
- Step 4: Await decision
- Regular Intake decisions are made after the intake date.
- Opportunity Projects are decided within 15 business days after a complete application is received.
Processing and Agreement
- Regular Intake funding decisions are made approximately six (6) weeks after the intake date.
- Opportunity Projects funding decisions are made within 15 business days upon receipt of a complete application.
- Final reporting can be completed directly through the online portal.
- Reporting requirements include the Projects Fund - Final Report form, proof of recognition per Recognition Plan, submission of digital photos, and the Projects Fund Financial Reports Excel document.
