Selection criteria
- Must demonstrate alignment with the City of Kawartha Lakes Strategic Plan, Economic Development Strategy or related municipal priorities
- Clearly demonstrate the organization’s mandate and initiatives that support local economic development
How to apply
- Submit a Municipal Event Application online or use the downloadable application format available on the Kawartha Lakes website
- If needed, e-mail the Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Division for an alternate version of the Application
- Review the Kawartha Lakes Municipal Event Application Reference Guide prior to submitting a Municipal Event Application
- Complete the Municipal Event Application in entirety and include a detailed Event Site Plan
- Submit the application a minimum of 4 months prior to the event; larger scale events with attendance of more than 2,000 are advised to submit a minimum of 6 months prior to the event date
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by an internal review committee and approved by the Director of Development Services
- Successful applicants are announced through a news release and posted on the municipal website
- Approved projects will be required to complete an interim report before August 31, 2026
- Approved projects will be required to submit a final report by January 30, 2027
