- Travel within Canada.
- Staff salaries and benefits for project delivery.
- Professional fees, honoraria, materials, supplies, translation, training, publicity, and refreshments for project activities.
- Administrative costs such as oversight, office space, telephone, computer equipment, IT maintenance, and accounting.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Activities outside Canada or related to issues in other countries.
- Capacity-building activities for the organization.
- New or expanded services and programs, including personal support, health and wellness workshops, and career help.
- Construction, renovation, and purchase, lease, or long-term rental of real property.
- Board or governance body salaries, benefits, and allowances.
Eligible geographic areas

Processing and Agreement
- Applications were reviewed after submission and only eligible applications were assessed.
- Funding decisions were expected in late fall 2022 and were sent by email.
- The Minister for Women and Gender Equality made the final funding decisions, with no appeal process.
- Approved applicants were contacted by a program officer and had to sign an agreement before starting activities.
- Approved projects required progress reports and a final report under the funding agreement.
