Who is eligible?
- Grouping of professional artists, authors and writers
- Artistic presenter or producer eligible for the operational or mission support programs of the CALQ, SODEC, or the Ministry
Who is not eligible
- Individual businesses
- Organizations in the communications, media, and/or heritage sectors
- Organizations that mainly represent amateur artists and/or authors and writers who do not identify as LGBTQ+
- Applicants who are insolvent, bankrupt, have filed a proposal, or have taken advantage of an insolvency or bankruptcy law
- Organizations listed in the Register of enterprises ineligible for public contracts, including their listed subcontractors

- Promotion expenses
- Travel expenses
- Translation expenses
- Non-refundable taxes
- Administration expenses, up to 5%

Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Costs not directly related to the project
- Costs linked to normal organizational operations or routine activities
- Costs already supported by another program of the Ministry, CALQ, SODEC, or Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec
- Costs incurred before the signing of the letter of announcement of the subsidy
- Debt financing, loan repayment, or financing of an already completed project
- Travel and stay expenses already covered by public, private, or other sources of funding

Selection criteria
- Relevance of the project, as shown by its alignment with the program objectives and orientations, and the absence of overlap or competition with the applicant’s existing activities or ongoing projects.
- Quality of the project, including the clarity of the objectives, the experience and competence of the team and partners, the realism of the work plan and budget, the diversity of revenue sources, and artist compensation according to recommended or negotiated scales.
- Expected project outcomes, including the anticipated impact on the visibility of LGBTQ+ artists on Québec’s cultural scene and visibility across Québec.
How to apply
- Submit the application using the online form in the di@pason service.
- Register in di@pason as a partner client, or update the file if needed, before submitting the application.
- Submit the application according to the project call dates set in the Ministry’s program calendar.
Processing and Agreement
- The Ministry evaluates applications and may use external experts who are free of apparent or real conflicts of interest.
- The applicant may be required to provide additional information or documents during analysis.
- To be submitted for evaluation, the file must be complete and based on accurate data.
- The Ministry will pay an initial installment representing 90% of the announced subsidy after confirmation of the financial assistance.
- The balance is paid according to the project nature, duration, and expected deliverables.
- Supported projects must submit accountability reporting no later than three months after the end of the project.
- The Ministry may verify the use of the subsidies at any time.
Additional information
- The program call is currently open until 21 August at 4:30 p.m.
- A complete application must be accurate and may need supplementary information or documents during analysis.
- Only one support grant may be awarded to the same organization within the same financial year.
- The program ends on 31 March 2028.
