Overview
Learn 2 Earn is an EmployAbilities program that supports Edmonton-area youth with mild disabilities and barriers to employment by providing paid job-readiness training and help securing work experience, with funding up to $15/hour for 6 hours/day over 10 weeks plus a $500 completion bonus. Eligible activities include a 10-week paid employment skills training stream (e.g., basic computer skills, customer service, Food Safe Level II, First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, resume and interview preparation) followed by 12 weeks of employment you secure using the skills learned.

Activities funded

Eligibility
- Participants must be youth from the Edmonton area who face barriers to employment, including mild disabilities.
- Participants must have a good understanding of English (spoken and written), as the program is offered in English.
- Participants must have an eligible status in Canada: Canadian citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or protected person.
- Participants must be ready to take part in a complete skills development process leading to employment (training followed by work experience).
Who is not eligible
- Employers/companies whose potential participants receive Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) (these individuals are not eligible for the program).

- Participation in the program if you receive Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH).
