How to apply

Step 1: Check your address
- Use the Address Lookup tool to confirm whether the water service line is lead.
Step 2: Complete the application
- Fill out the Grant & Loan Application form and enter the required property information.
Step 3: Submit the form
- Submit the application through the City of Brantford online form.
Step 4: Wait for confirmation
- Watch for the email confirmation after submission.

Processing and Agreement

Your application must be approved before any work begins.
If you apply for the grant only, you will receive a Commitment Letter after approval that outlines the terms and conditions of the program.
If you apply for the grant and loan, you will receive the Commitment Letter and Promissory Note after the work has been completed.
After City approval and once the contractor replaces the lead water service, send a copy of the invoice that details all eligible expenses.
The grant and loan amounts will be advanced in one payment directly to the contractor.
