  • Equipment rental or purchase, vehicle costs, and contractor fees
  • A reasonable share of overhead, administrative costs, and non-reimbursable taxes

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Projects focused on water quantity issues
  • Projects outside the Lake Simcoe drainage basin
  • Projects aimed at increasing production, replacing worn equipment, or commercial expansion
  • Lobbying or direct influence on any level of government
  • Wastewater infrastructure projects

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications undergo a two-stage review: administrative screening and project evaluation.
  • ECCC may consult external advisors, but funding decisions are made by ECCC.
  • Incomplete applications are not reviewed.
