This funding provides up to $20,000 to support Indigenous communities, collectives, and organizations in British Columbia to share findings from completed ICCO-led research. Documents Needed
- Research Development Grant Application (submitted by the Principal Applicant).
Eligibility
- The applicant must be an Indigenous community, collective, or organization (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit).
- The applicant must be based in British Columbia.
- The project must be ICCO-led.
- The team must have completed ICCO-led research and be ready to share the findings.
- The project must share ICCO-relevant research findings in culturally and contextually relevant, widely accessible venues and/or formats.

- Applicants that are not Indigenous communities, collectives, or organizations (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit)
- Organizations not based in British Columbia
- Projects that are not ICCO-led
- Teams that have not completed ICCO-led research findings to share
Eligible expenses
- Preparation of knowledge sharing and mobilization materials
- Costs to share knowledge (e.g., dissemination in accessible venues and/or formats)
- Travel costs
- Venue and food costs
- Honoraria for Indigenous Elders, Knowledge Holders, and community members involved

How to apply
- Step 1: Get application support (optional)
- Book a grant support session with an Indigenous Research Liaison (IRL) for help planning the health project and completing the application form.
- Step 2: Prepare application
- Complete the Research Development Grant Application.
- Confirm the Principal Applicant will submit the application.
- Step 3: Submit application by email
- Email the completed Research Development Grant Application to BC NEIHR.

- BC NEIHR provides eight (8) awards annually.
