Kids with Cancer Society Bursary 2026-2027

• Completed bursary application form
• Letter of acceptance or proof of application

• Signed and dated letter from a health care professional

Who is eligible?

• Students pursuing postsecondary or continuing education
• Individuals treated for childhood cancer at Stollery Children’s Hospital
• Residents of Northern Alberta or the Northwest Territories

Who is not eligible

• Students applying for high school upgrading

Eligible expenses

• Tuition and mandatory fees
• Textbooks, supplies, and training-related expenses

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Personal costs
• Previous debt, accounts, or shortfalls
• High school upgrading

• Northern Alberta
• Northwest Territories

• Step 1: Complete the application
  • Fill in the application form and declaration and consent section.
  • Include your education plan and prior monetary awards information.
• Step 2: Gather supporting documents
  • Attach your application letter.
  • Include one reference letter and one letter from a health care professional.
  • Provide proof of acceptance or verification of application from the institution.
• Step 3: Submit the package
  • Send the completed application and supporting documents by in person, mail, fax, or email.
  • Submit to the Kids with Cancer Society by the deadline.

• Applications are reviewed after submission and supporting documents are verified
• Applicants are notified of the status of their application
• The society’s decision is final and not subject to appeal
• Funding is issued after acceptance and is paid to the institution

• Applicants must sign a declaration and consent form.
• The society may contact references and verify student information.
• False or misleading information can permanently disqualify an applicant.
• Recipients may be asked to allow use of their name and photo for one bursary memorial award.
