Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are first reviewed by each partner institution’s review committee.
  • Recommendations are forwarded to an ad hoc Joint Review Panel.
  • The panel may seek additional scientific expert advice if needed.
  • The panel’s decision is final and there is no appeal process.
  • Applicants are notified of the decision in September 2025.

Additional information

  • Early-career principal investigators are encouraged to apply.
  • High-risk approaches will be considered.
  • The grant is intended to build long-standing collaborations between McGill and the University of Edinburgh.
  • A brief final report is required at project end.
