Overview
The program provides up to $10,000 per application to support local initiatives that benefit the community. Eligible activities align with community participation, sustainability, safety, diversity, technology for community benefit, and STEM learning.
Activities funded
- Projects that increase community participation and pride (e.g., volunteer awards, community space enhancements, local festivals, heritage preservation)
- Community sustainability initiatives (e.g., renewable energy use, energy efficiency, carbon reduction, recycling, school education programs, community gardens)
- Community safety and wellbeing initiatives (e.g., neighbourhood watch, community health initiatives, safety improvements to local amenities)
- Programs that promote diversity in the community
- Programs that use innovative technology for community benefit and/or improve local STEM participation (including trades)
Examples of admissible projects:

Deliver youth STEM workshops combining coding, electronics, and community safety training

Improve community space with LED upgrades, safety equipment, and energy education

Eligibility
- The initiative must benefit the local community.
- The project must align with at least one program priority area (community participation, sustainability, safety, diversity, technology for community benefit, or STEM participation).
- The applicant must be an organization or community group located within an eligible area.

- Iris Energy will endeavour to notify successful applicants within eight weeks of the application closing date.
