Selection criteria
- Priority is given to companies with a proven track record in electric motor R&D for harsh environments.
- Applications are evaluated on mandatory criteria and scored criteria, with a minimum passing score of 65 out of 130 points for direct Phase 2 entry.
- Selection may also consider departmental and Government of Canada priorities, previous investments, proposal strengths, similar initiatives, and technology maturity level.

- If electronic submission is not possible, contact solutions@ised-isde.gc.ca before the closing date and time to arrange delivery.
- Only the electronic submission sent through the SIC web system is normally considered if multiple versions are submitted.
Processing and Agreement
- The Canada Revenue Agency may request clarification or verification during evaluation.
- Eligible applicants may be asked to provide additional information during due diligence before funding decisions.
- Selected applicants must satisfy all funding-process requirements before a grant can be awarded.
- The Government of Canada will notify applicants of final funding decisions.
