- First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities or organizations already receiving, or eligible to receive, distinctions-based funding under the Indigenous Health Equity Fund.
- First Nations in British Columbia served by the First Nation Health Authority.
- Organizations representing eligible distinctions-based funding recipients, such as tribal councils.
- Organizations that received Targeted Initiatives Funding in 2024-2025.
Eligible expenses
- Costs directly tied to approved project activities.
- Technology, process, or partnership-related implementation costs.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Insured health services covered by the Canada Health Act.
- Medically necessary diagnostic and treatment services.
- Inpatient and outpatient hospital services.
- Services provided by medical practitioners.
Processing and Agreement
- Proposals are assessed against published criteria.
- If eligible proposals exceed available funding, the highest-scoring proposals are selected.
