Eligible expenses
- Salaries and benefits
- Operations and maintenance costs, including travel, utilities, accommodations, office supplies, and equipment
- Minor capital, such as minor repairs and renovations
- Major capital, including planning, design, construction, and expansion of health infrastructure

- Medically necessary diagnostic services
- Hospital inpatient and outpatient services
- Services provided by physicians
- Provincially or territorially insured health services

Processing and Agreement
- Proposals are evaluated against the program’s assessment criteria.
- If demand exceeds available funding, only the highest-scoring proposals are funded.
- All organizations that submit proposals are contacted after evaluations are completed.
- Funding decisions are based on the evaluation outcome and available budget.
