The Îles-de-la-Madeleine Vitalization Framework – Component 2 offers up to $100,000 in non-repayable funding per project to support initiatives aligned with the region’s economic, social, cultural, and environmental development. Eligible activities include projects that enhance attractiveness, recreation, environment, food security, and sustainable economic growth.

- Maximum non-repayable contribution per project: $100,000 for the covered agreement period.
- For private enterprises or legal entities wishing to start a private enterprise: up to 50% of total eligible project expenses, with a minimum project budget of $500,000 required.
- For other eligible beneficiaries: up to 90% of total eligible project expenses.
- Mandatory local counterpart funding must represent at least 10% of total project costs.

- The applicant must be a non-profit organization, social economy enterprise, cooperative (excluding financial cooperatives), educational network organization, or a corporate entity seeking to start a private business.
- Private companies must have their head office or principal place of business located within the territory of the Communauté maritime des Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
- The project must directly align with one of the vitalization axes: territorial attractiveness and retention, recreation, sports and culture, environment and land management, food autonomy and security, or sustainable socio-economic development.
- The project must be an initiative of limited duration, non-recurring, and must not cover the applicant's ongoing operational expenses.

- Management fees, up to a maximum of 10% of the actual project budget.

- Alignment with one or more of the five vitalization axes (territorial attractiveness and retention; recreation, sports and culture; environment, territorial management and planning; autonomy and food security; sustainable economic development).
- The project is of a limited duration, non-recurring, and directly connected to vitalization objectives.
- Project budget includes a minimum local contribution representing at least 10% of the total project cost.
- Compliance with admissible and non-admissible expense guidelines as outlined in the program framework.

Prepare application file
- Prepare the application form and collect all required documentation
- Complete the form in accordance with the instructions and eligibility criteria
- Ensure your file is complete before the submission deadline for the committee’s next meeting

Submit the application
- Submit your complete project file to the agent responsible for vitalization
- Ensure the submission is at least two weeks prior to the upcoming committee meeting

Await committee decision
- Your application will be reviewed during the next committee meeting
- Wait for the committee’s decision on your project

- The analysis of applications is conducted three to four times per year, depending on the committee's meetings and availability of funds.
- Applications must be complete and submitted at least two weeks before the committee meeting to be reviewed at that session.
- The committee's next project review date is May 13, 2025, and applications must be completed by April 28, 2025, for consideration.
