How to apply

  • Step 1: Review program priorities
    • Read the Foundation’s program descriptions and priorities.
    • Confirm that the proposed work fits the Humanities in Place program area.
  • Step 2: Submit an inquiry in Fluxx
    • Use the Foundation’s grantee portal to send the funding inquiry.
    • Provide details about the proposed work, your organization, and governance structure.
  • Step 3: Await review
    • The Foundation reviews inquiries on a rolling basis.
    • If the project aligns with priorities, staff may invite a full proposal.
  • Step 4: Submit invited proposal
    • Complete the proposal process only if invited through the portal.
    • Consult program staff for Officer’s Grant applications when applicable.

Processing and Agreement

  • Inquiry submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis within three months.
  • Submissions are reviewed in the order received and alongside other inquiries received during that period.
  • If the work fits the Foundation’s priorities, the organization is invited to submit a full proposal.
  • Only invited proposals are considered for funding.
