Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Basilian houses or institutions.

  • Projects focused on construction or renovation of buildings.
  • Projects for the purchase of land.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Construction or renovation of buildings.
  • Purchase of land.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by a five-member Basilian committee.
  • The committee makes recommendations to the Superior General and his Council.
  • Funding is authorized after their review and any additional information considered.
  • Applicants are informed of the decision by June 30.
  • Approved non-Canadian entities must sign an Agency Agreement before funds are disbursed.

Additional information

  • Applications must use the current year’s form provided by the Basilian Fathers.
  • Applications must be clear, complete, and typed in English.
  • If the organization has received prior funding, Section 3: Assistance History must be completed.
  • Funds for use outside Canada are paid in U.S. dollars at the exchange rate on the cheque date.
