- Organizations that are registered charities in Canada.
- Organizations that are tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) in the United States.
- Organizations affiliated with a Qualified Donee in Canada for the Medical Research RFP.
Who is not eligible
- Organizations focused exclusively on international issues or planning to use funds outside of North America.
- Organizations that only serve religious purposes.
- Political campaigns or candidates.
- Programs related to the fine and performing arts.
- Projects focused exclusively or primarily on geriatric populations for the Medical Research RFP.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- For the Medical Research RFP, indirect costs are not funded in addition to the award.

- If the LOI is of interest, submit a full application when invited.
Processing and Agreement
- Submitted applications are subject to a competitive review process.
- If successful, applicants can expect to receive a grant agreement for review within four months of final application submission.
- For the Medical Research RFP, funding decisions will be announced in October 2026.
