Eligibility
- The applicant must be a duly incorporated organization designated as a Host Society or Organizing Committee for eligible international multisport games.
- Eligible events include the North American Indigenous Games, the Arctic Winter Games, the Special Olympics World Games, and the Deaflympics, as specified by the federal policy.

- Duly incorporated Host Societies or Organizing Committees established for staging eligible International Multisport Games
Who is not eligible
- Companies or organizations that are not expressly established for the organization of eligible Games (host companies or designated organizing committees).
- Organizations wishing to host or organize events other than the North American Indigenous Games, Arctic Winter Games, Special Olympics World Games, or Deaf Olympics.
Eligible expenses
- Travel costs for Canadian participants attending the North American Indigenous Games, whether hosted in Canada or abroad.
- Travel costs for Canadian participants attending the Arctic Winter Games when these are hosted outside of Canada.
Eligible geographic areas
- Organizations operating within Canada, in collaboration with municipal and provincial/territorial governments for hosting events.

Verify eligibility requirements
- Ensure your organization is duly incorporated and eligible to apply under the IMGAPPD component
- Verify that your event is among the four recognized Games: North American Indigenous Games, Arctic Winter Games, Special Olympics World Games, or Deaflympics
- Confirm your event fits within the federal-provincial/territorial hosting and bid process requirements

Complete the application documents
- Prepare the grant application in accordance with instructions from Sport Canada

Submit the funding application
- Submit your application to Sport Canada by December 31 for funding requests starting the following April 1
- If December 31 is a weekend, submit by the last business day of the year
