Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Entrepreneurs from an immigrant and/or ethnocultural diversity background
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or holders of a Québec Selection Certificate (CSQ)
  • Applicants who are 18 years of age or older
  • Applicants who alone hold at least 51% of the company's shares, or at least 51% with partners who also meet the eligibility criteria
  • Companies with a head office in Québec and registration in the Québec Enterprise Register no later than April 15, 2026

Who is not eligible

  • Companies submitting more than one application in the same year; only one application per Quebec business number (NEQ) per year is eligible.
  • Winners of a business project that won a previous edition of the Entreprendre ici Honorific Grants from 2018 to 2025, and their associates.
  • Entreprendre ici staff members, organizing committee members, evaluators of the current edition's projects, and their associates.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Projects of a sexual, religious or political nature
  • Projects related to illicit or recreational drugs
  • Bar or discotheque projects

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are triaged and evaluated from May 18 to July 30, 2026.
  • The 50 finalists will be announced on August 4, 2026.
  • Finalists will present their projects to an independent jury on August 20, 2026.
  • The award ceremony will take place on September 24, 2026.

Additional information

  • The competition is only in French; the application form, supporting documents, and submitted documents must all be in French.
  • If selected as a finalist, the contestant or one of the partners must pitch the project in French.
  • A business plan is not required to apply, but it can help complete sections such as market study, financing, marketing, and operations.
  • The presence of all finalists is mandatory at the gala; in case of force majeure, a representative must be designated.
