This funding supports Comox Valley initiatives addressing homelessness and homelessness prevention. Eligible activities include programs, projects, services, and renovations to NGO-owned structures that help prevent or lessen homelessness.
Activities funded
- Programs, projects, and services that decrease the occurrence and duration of homelessness
- Initiatives that support housing stability and long-term housing retention
- Initiatives that mobilize Comox Valley resources to support the immediate needs of people who are unhoused
- Renovation projects to existing structures owned by nongovernmental organizations to support the prevention or lessening of homelessness
Examples of admissible projects:

Renovate NGO space into a daytime drop-in and hygiene hub
Documents Needed
Eligibility
- The initiative must support people currently experiencing homelessness and/or prevent homelessness
- The initiative must be delivered within the Comox Valley
- The initiative must align with at least one of the fund’s stated purposes (reducing homelessness, supporting housing stability, mobilizing immediate supports, or renovations to support prevention/lessening of homelessness)
