How to apply
- Step 1: Get an EnerGuide evaluation
- Contact a service organization that serves your area.
- Have an energy advisor complete a pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation.
- Step 2: Apply and plan
- Submit your EnerGuide documents and project details.
- Apply before any work starts.
- Step 3: Complete the retrofit
- Carry out the renovation work.
- Have the post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation completed.
- Step 4: Submit completion documents
- Send the final documents through the myEM portal.
- Step 5: Receive the rebate
- Wait for the review and rebate calculation.
- Watch for notification by email and in the portal.
Processing and Agreement
- Application is reviewed after completion documents are submitted.
- Additional information may be requested during review.
- You are notified by email and through the myEM portal once the application is submitted for payment.

- Homeowners may be able to stack this rebate with the Canada Greener Homes Grant.
