The HYRS program page now says applications are closed for this year, and that HYRS 2027 applications will launch in January to February 2027. The six-week program timing on the page was also generalized from specific 2026 dates to a beginning-of-July to mid-August schedule. The student and reference application links and instructions were removed from the program page, and the mentor information page no longer specifies summer 2026 when describing mentor recruitment.

- Obtain permission from your two (2) Teacher Referees
- Obtain permission from your Non-Academic Referee
- Read the entirety of the online application form before completing any form fields
- Preview your application before submitting, then submit your application
