Selection criteria
- Grants will generally be awarded on a first come-first serve basis.
- Grants involving newly designated properties will be given priority.
How to apply
- Step 1: Review policy and prepare application

- Fill in the online application form.
- Provide project details, drawings, cost estimates, and supporting photographs.

- Step 4: Complete approved work and payment steps
- Finish the approved scope of work by the required deadline.
- Submit progress and completion photographs, invoices, and proof of payment.
- Arrange the required inspection before payment is issued.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications will be considered by the Municipal Heritage Committee and City Council.
- The Planning & Development Department will screen applications for completeness and eligibility before they advance to the Municipal Heritage Committee.
- Provisionally approved grants will be paid upon satisfactory completion of the approved scope of work.
- Payment requires photographs of project progress, invoices corresponding to the provisionally approved scope of work, proof of payment, and inspection of the completed work by the Planning & Development Department.
