Processing and Agreement
- Applications are screened by the Planning & Development Department for completeness and eligibility.
- Eligible applications are reviewed by the Municipal Heritage Committee and City Council.
- Grants are generally awarded on a first come, first served basis, with priority for newly designated properties.
- Approved funding is paid after the work is completed, inspected, and supporting invoices and proof of payment are submitted.
Additional information
- Applications are considered on a monthly basis.
- Projects must be completed by December 31 of the calendar year.
- Extensions may be granted at the discretion of the Director of Planning and Development.
- Heritage permit applications may run concurrently with the grant process.
