- Veterinary treatment for known conditions when the care could have been delayed beyond 30 days

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors
- Selected applications are put forward for voting at the Annual General Meeting in April
- Applicants are notified by email if they do not qualify
- Awarded recipients are contacted by email and/or phone after the AGM
- Approved groups must complete final reporting or a face-to-face follow-up meeting

- Only one application may be submitted per applicant.
- Applicants who received funding in the previous year are not considered.
- Approved groups must allow Help a Buddy Fund to highlight grant use on social media and in its e-newsletter.
- Recipients must take part in a post-award follow-up, either a meeting or final reporting.
