Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • For-profit SMEs
  • Ontario-based agriculture businesses
  • Ontario-based agri-food businesses
  • Ontario-based agri-based products businesses
  • Technology or equipment suppliers to these sectors

Who is not eligible

  • Aquaculture organizations
  • Businesses outside the agriculture, agri-food, or agri-based products sectors
  • Companies not based in Ontario

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Applications submitted by email, mail, in person, or fax
  • Organizations operating in the aquaculture sector
  • Businesses that do not meet the program’s eligibility requirements

How to apply

  • Step 1: Create or sign in to a Bioenterprise account
    • Existing users sign in to the Bioenterprise website.
    • New users create a free account.
  • Step 2: Complete the online application
    • Access the Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub application in the Bioenterprise member portal.
    • Complete all required fields.
  • Step 3: Submit online
    • Submit the application through the Bioenterprise website.
    • Wait for the confirmation email after submission.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed for completeness and eligibility.
  • Qualified applications are evaluated by Bioenterprise and a review panel.
  • Applications are assessed on a semi-monthly basis.
  • Successful applicants are notified by email within 15 business days after the decision.
  • Selected applicants must enter into a Mentorship and Advisory Services Agreement.

Additional information

  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until capacity is reached.
  • Selected companies receive up to 25 hours of mentorship and advisory support.
  • The program is delivered fully remotely.
  • Applicants retain ownership of their intellectual property.
