Who is eligible?

  • Low to moderate income home owner households.
  • Grey County renters.
  • Individuals or families who are experiencing homelessness in Grey County.
  • Residents of Grey County who are transitioning from homelessness or the shelter system who are not yet ready to live independently.

Who is not eligible

  • Households with any member currently under a deportation, departure or exclusion order to leave Canada.
  • Households with any member who owes money to any social housing provider, has been convicted of an offence related to rent-geared-to-income assistance, or has misrepresented their income for the purpose of rent-geared-to-income assistance.
  • Households whose income or assets exceed the limits set by the province or the local maximum asset limits, $50,000.00.

Eligible expenses

  • Home repairs, including furnace replacements, roof replacements and other similar required repairs
  • Accessibility modifications and adaptations, including ramps, handrails, chair and bath lifts, cues for doorbells and fire alarms
