• Have a mandate to address a social inequity or an environmental concern.
• Offer innovative solutions aligned with focus areas: transitions out of poverty, helping good ideas grow, or fair financial inclusion.
• Be accountable to stakeholders and report publicly at least annually on activities, partnerships, and impacts in Canadian communities.
• Hold a CRA registered charitable number.

• Public accountability and annual reporting on activities, partnerships, and impacts.
• Commitment to improving effectiveness and increasing social impact.
• For $25,000 and up: clarity of expected results and measurement approach.

• Large donations are specified as $25,000 and up.
• Organizations are expected to report publicly on activities, partnerships, and impacts in Canadian communities at least annually.
• Applicants should be able to explain expected results and how they will be measured (for large donations).
