Eligibility
- The project must be an ICT-related applied research and development partnership.
- The project must be collaborative, involving at least one institutional partner and at least one industrial partner.
- For TRL 1-3 projects, the partnership must include a minimum of two industrial partners, including at least one involved in R&D in Québec.
- For TRL 4-6 projects, the partnership must include a minimum of one industrial partner.

- Industrial partners participating in ICT applied R&D partnership projects
- Institutional partners (research establishments) participating in collaborative ICT R&D projects
Eligible expenses
- Admissible expenses of the research establishments involved in the project
Eligible geographic areas
- Québec (for TRL 1-3 projects, at least one industrial partner must be involved in R&D in Québec)
How to apply
Step 1: Contact Prompt team
- Reach out to a member of the Prompt team to discuss your project.
- Provide enough information for Prompt to understand the partnership project at a high level.
- Work with Prompt to structure project financing.
- Identify potential matching opportunities through NSERC, MITACS, or other funding sources.
- Request and obtain the Prompt grant application form through Prompt.
- Prepare the application with Prompt’s support throughout drafting and completion.
Additional information
- Prompt works with Quebec’s Ministry of the Economy, Science and Innovation (MESI) and can align projects with federal public funding programs (e.g., NSERC, MITACS).
- Support arrangements vary depending on Technology Readiness Level (TRL 1-3 vs TRL 4-6).
- Funding is available on an ongoing basis.
