Overview

Selected organizations can receive up to $2M+ to build socially impactful gen AI solutions. Support covers prototype development during the 6-month accelerator and launching and scaling afterward.

Activities funded

  • Building generative AI-powered solutions that create clear social impact outcomes.
  • Developing prototypes during a structured accelerator program.
  • Launching and scaling a generative AI-enabled product after the accelerator.
  • Projects advancing AI literacy, workforce readiness, or technology-enabled teaching and learning.
  • Projects supporting applied science or resilient communities, including safer internet and crisis response solutions.

Documents Needed

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a nonprofit charity, other nonprofit organization, civic entity, academic or research institution, or a for-profit social enterprise.
  • The proposed project must have a clear and explicit social impact purpose.
  • The proposed solution must align with at least one focus area: Knowledge, Skills, and Learning; Scientific Advancement; or Resilient Communities.
  • The organization or project partner organization(s) must have a registered office in the applicant’s country of residence.

Eligible expenses

  • Prototype development and related product build costs during the 6-month accelerator period.
  • Costs to launch and scale the product after completing the program (within the funding use period).

Additional information

  • The accelerator includes a mix of virtual programming and in-person moments, including at least two key in-person gatherings (locations shared with selected organizations).
  • Organizations are expected to have at least one Executive Director or Decision Maker and one Technical Project Lead participate, committing approximately 4 hours per week.
  • The program culminates in a Demo Day where participants present their prototypes.
  • Official programming is planned to commence in mid 2025.
