How to apply
- Step 1: Prepare concept note
- Review the call document, FAQ, and information session Q&A.
- Develop a concept note focused on one or two priority themes.
- Prepare the project budget and supporting information.
- Step 2: Create applicant account
- Open a SurveyMonkey Apply account if you do not already have one.
- Use the account setup guide if you need help accessing the portal.
- Step 3: Complete online submission
- Access the application portal.
- Fill in the online eligibility form and application fields.
- Upload the required submission materials and submit through SurveyMonkey Apply.
- Step 4: Await decision
- Monitor the application system and email for eligibility and screening updates.
- Follow any further instructions if your application advances.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are first screened for eligibility in the online system.
- Incomplete or ineligible applications are notified through the system or by email.
- Eligible applications are reviewed before funding decisions are made.
- Selected applicants must sign a grant agreement before funding is issued.

- There is no minimum number of applicants per application.
- The lead applicant must be based in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Up to two co-applicants can sign grant agreements with IDRC.
