Overview
This program provides non-repayable funding of up to 75% of eligible project costs to support greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction projects for NWT governments. Eligible activities may include energy retrofits, community energy plan implementation, biomass and district heating, off-grid renewable electricity, transportation initiatives, waste-to-energy, and methane capture and use.

Examples of admissible projects:

Documents Needed
- Completed and signed application form (including declaration and consent section)
- Detailed project proposal using the Application Proposal Template (and/or a business plan, if available)

How to apply
Step 1: Complete the application form
- Fill out the application, including the declaration and consent section
- Sign and date the completed application
- Draft a detailed project proposal using the Application Proposal Template
- Include a business plan, if available
- Gather documentation for required permits
- Gather business licence documentation
- Include partner agreements such as MOUs or contracts, if applicable
- Be prepared to submit any other information requested by the GHG Grant Program Coordinator for evaluation
