Eligibility
- Teams must consist of at least one researcher affiliated with a public research institution in Quebec (university, college, or an institution with a research mandate) and one non-academic partner for implementation or commercialization of the results.
- Eligible non-academic partners include companies (Quebec, Canadian or international), industrial consortia, non-profit organizations, hospitals, and government organizations (federal, provincial, municipal).
- Projects must focus on human health and address a specific need of the non-academic partner.
- Projects must be carried out in Quebec and involve omic or multiomic sciences such as genomics, epigenomics, metabolomics, metagenomics, nutrigenomics, pharmacogenomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, or bioinformatics.
- Non-academic partners must show their capability to use, implement, or commercialize the project results.
- Teams must provide co-funding to match Génome Québec funds (1:1), with in-kind contributions accepted if they originate from Quebec, excluding the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie of Quebec (MEIE).

The Genomics Integration Program – Human Health invites applications from collaborative teams comprising an academic researcher associated with a public research institution in Quebec and a non-academic partner. Eligible non-academic partners include, but are not limited to:- Companies based in Quebec, Canada or internationally- Industrial consortia- Non-profit organizations- Hospitals- Government organizations at the federal, provincial or municipal levelsThese entities should have the capability to implement, use, or commercialize the research results.

Preparation of the request

Submission of the request
- Log in to the Génome Québec portal to download and submit all required documents.
- Carefully fill out the online application form.
- Finalize the submission by May 5, 2025, at 11:59 PM (ET).

- Check for the receipt of a confirmation email after submission.
- Keep the confirmation email for future reference.

- Application must be submitted through the Génome Québec Application Portal before the specified deadline.
- An account must be requested via email to Génome Québec by noon on the deadline day to proceed with the application submission.
- The academic partner is designated as the recipient of the funds from Génome Québec.
- Génome Québec requires co-funding to be obtained from sources other than the Ministère de l’Économie et de l'Innovation et de l’Énergie of Quebec (MEIE).
