How to apply
- Step 1: Review program fit

- Attend an applicant webinar if needed to learn more about the process.
- Step 2: Prepare the application
- Draft responses for the application.
- Use the Word template if desired to prepare answers before submitting online.
- Step 3: Submit Stage 1 application
- Complete and submit the online application form once the intake opens.
- If the online form creates an accessibility barrier, request alternative arrangements before the deadline.
- Step 4: Complete Stage 2 if shortlisted
- Revise and add to the application if invited by REFBC.
Processing and Agreement
- Stage 1 applications are typically shortlisted within 8 to 10 weeks after the intake deadline.
- Shortlisted applicants are invited to revise and expand their application in Stage 2.
- The Board of Governors decides on funding for projects advanced to Stage 2.
- General Grants are typically awarded in June and September.
