Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Young adults aged 18 to 30.
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and admitted refugees.
  • People in job search or career transition, including newcomers to Canada and former Katimavik participants.
  • Employers, including for-profit/private, governmental, and not-for-profit organizations.

Eligible expenses

  • Return transportation if relocation is required.
  • Housing during the program.
  • A significant part of the salary.
  • Support allowance during the first weeks and training.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Meals during the employment period.
  • Daily commuting costs to the workplace.
  • Personal expenses.
