  • Animation materials, printing, supplies, promotional items, advertising, and activity-related rentals
  • Kilometre expenses related to the project
  • Speakers, consultants, and required training
  • Salaries directly tied to project tasks

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Regular operating costs of the organization and activities not specifically linked to the project
  • Capital expenditures, technology purchases, and staff development
  • Food expenses, except possible exceptions for cooking workshops that build specific skills or snacks that help a particularly vulnerable audience participate
  • Direct funding to schools or school service centres, including staff
  • Cost overruns, reimbursed expenses, participant prizes, organizational debts, reimbursable tax portions, and expenses incurred outside the project period

Selection criteria

  • Each admissibility and analysis criterion is rated on a four-point scale: Tout à fait en accord, Plutôt d’accord, Plutôt en désaccord, Tout à fait en désaccord.
  • The project description must be clear and relevant, linked to regional needs, and show clearly defined collaboration among the parties involved.
  • The school-family-community approach is assessed positively, and the project is an asset when it follows this model.
  • Objectives and evaluation indicators must be clear; the project must be scientifically grounded, realistic, and well detailed, with financial contributions from other partners when possible.
  • Project history is considered, including objective achievement, spending ratio, activity completion, respect for the agreement, visibility, and deadlines; equity rules aim for one project per organization, per MRC, and per funding period, with one project per MRC where possible.

How to apply

  • Use the CREVALE forms for each deposit date.
  • Send the application to projects@crevale.org with all required documents at the same time.

Processing and Agreement

  • CREVALE receives the files, analyzes the applications, and recommends projects to the Ministry of Education.
  • The Ministry of Education approves the projects, and CREVALE then responds to every promoter, whether the project is accepted or not.
  • Approved projects require a funding agreement and receive a first payment when the agreement is signed by both parties.
  • Projects are then carried out with CREVALE follow-up and accompaniment, followed by final reporting and the second and final payment after acceptance of the project report and financial report.
