This program provides 3-year funding to support locally delivered charitable projects, programs, or services. Eligible activities include initiatives aligned with the charity’s mission that demonstrate prior success and measurable community impact.

Activities funded

  • Delivery of a local project, program, or service aligned with the charity’s mission and mandate.
Examples of admissible projects:

Three-year volunteer-led food skills workshops and weekly hamper distribution

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a charity active in local communities.
  • The charity may be affiliated with provincial or national charities, with fundraising, promotion, and distribution done locally.
  • The proposed project, program, or service must align with the organization’s mission and mandate and show two years of success.
  • The initiative must be supported by staff expertise and involve volunteers.
  • The application must include specific performance measures and three-year targets.

  • Regional value and innovation, including outcomes that aid other regional organizations.
  • Defined performance measures and targets covering 3 years.

How to apply

Step 1: Prepare the application using the template
  • Use the PECSF application template.
  • Complete all sections of the funding application.
Step 2: Submit for pre-screening
  • Submit the completed application for PECSF eligibility pre-screening.
Step 3: Respond to follow-up (if requested)
  • Provide any additional information if contacted by the PECSF office.
  • Participate in an interview if requested (for larger requests or organizations new to PECSF).

  • The PECSF office pre-screens applications to confirm eligibility.
