How to apply

Review eligibility criteria
- Read FSRA’s Use of Proceeds from Enforcement Guidance and confirm that your initiative meets at least one required purpose.
- Make sure the proposal does not further the commercial interests of your membership or key stakeholders, is limited to Ontario, and benefits Ontarians.
- Verify that your organization is a not-for-profit entity, incorporated in Ontario or Canada for at least one year, and maintains appropriate insurance coverage.

Prepare proposal package
- Prepare your proposal with the required information, including project details, funding amount, target audience, partners, other funding sources, and reporting plan.
- Include clear outcomes, deliverables, budget information, and an explanation of alignment with Ontario Regulation 554/21.
- Make sure your submission addresses the criteria used by FSRA to assess alignment, value, delivery, and communication.

Submit application by email
- Submit your proposal by email to the address provided by FSRA: [email protected]
- Applications are only accepted while the grant application window is open.
- After submission, the proposal will move to FSRA’s eligibility assessment and then to the initiative assessment stage if eligible.
Processing and Agreement
- Proposals are first reviewed for eligibility.
- Eligible proposals move to an initiative assessment by an evaluation committee.
- Eligible initiatives are then reviewed on merit and quality, and recommendations are made for funding.
- Approved funding is contingent on a grant agreement being negotiated within a reasonable time.
- After the agreement is executed, funds may be paid in instalments according to the payment schedule and reporting requirements in the agreement.
