French Language Services Program

• Maximum contribution per project is $50,000, subject to available funding.
• Payment is made in two installments, as outlined in the Conditional Contribution Agreement.
• Exceptions above the $50,000 maximum may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to required approvals and demonstration of exceptional strategic benefits.
• Government liability is limited to the authorized funding amount and does not cover any budget shortfalls or deficits.
• Funding is provided once per fiscal year, with an annual reporting period from April 1 to March 31.

• The applicant must be an individual, a non-profit organization, or a municipal corporation.
• The project must provide a direct service or benefit to the French language community in Nunavut.
• The initiative must aim to promote and protect the French language and the vitality of the Francophone community in Nunavut.

• Respect for the evaluation criteria established by the program.
• Availability of funds at the time of application.
• Assessment by the Working Group of the exceptional strategic benefit of the project (for an exception to the maximum amount).
